Q: Do know what this is?
A: Steve B. sent in this question and photo of some type of contraption that vaguely resembles a tricycle. Our guess is that it was once an early motor powered scooter, like those Rascal type things you see at Wal-Mart, usually with someone riding them that shouldn’t be.
Q: I was wondering if you’ve had any luck on finding any info about the BlueBoys. I have some new pictures that I can send you or you can view them on my thread that I posted. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

A: These were made in the first quarter of the 20th century. I do not know the maker, and without markings it is hard to tell. Many different makers made tricycles and ride-ons like this including Taylor, Auto Wheel Coaster, Columbia, etc. About the only hope of accurately identifying them would be to find an ad (or someone with one) that listed a manufacturer, but even then, many tricycles were sold unbranded in stores.
