COMPANY HISTORY:

Fisher-Price was founding in 1930 and started making wooden toys.  When exactly they produced their first tricycle is unknown.  They are most famous for their plastic Little People toys and lines of licensed toys.  Founder Herman Fisher retired in 1969 and the company was acquired by the Quaker Oats Company.  In 1991 Fisher-Price became a public company after breaking away from Quaker Oats.  In 1993 Mattel acquired Fisher-Price and then began producing all of its preschool toys and products under the Fisher-Price name in 1997.

Notable Features: Fisher-Price tricycles are most known for their molded plastic construction although they did (and may continue) make some steel framed tricycles with molded plastic parts.
