Mattel began as a small company that made picture frames and then dollhouse furniture from picture frame scraps. They went public in 1960. In the early 60's Mattel introduced the X-15 V-RROOM pedal car tricycle ride-on type toy with a steering lever. Little information is available about the history of Mattel tricycles, as their main products include Barbie dolls and Hot Wheels diecast cars.
